GEORGE TOWN, Sept 5- Penang UMNO liaison committee secretary Datuk Musa Sheikh Fadzir hopes candidates from the state would receive undivided support during the Umno Supreme Council election.
Musa who is also the Bukit Mertajam Umno division head said it was important to have representatives from the state in the Umno Supreme Council, to strengthen the status of the party in the state that is ruled by the opposition.
“If given an opportunity, their presence can become a platform to restore lost pride in the state,” he told reporters at the State Anti-Drugs Agency’s Aidilfitri celebrations, here, Wednesday.
Musa also declared that he was ready to contest for a Supreme Council seat in the October Umno election.
