SHAH ALAM, April 12 – Wanita MIC will give its undivided support to anyone fielded as Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates to ensure that the BN will get at least two-thirds parliamentary majority in the next general election.
“We will try our best to ensure that the BN will win in all contested seats in the 13th polls,” Wanita MIC chief Datin Paduka Komala Krishnamoorthy said today.
Speaking to reporters after the launched of Selangor Wanita MIC election machinery here last night, Komala said Wanita MIC also hoped that the number of its candidates for the polls would be increased.
“We have submitted the list of our candidates to the party leadership and have asked for the number of Wanita MIC selected as candidates to be increased. However, we will accept whatever decision made by the BN leadership,” she said. In the 2008 general election, Wanita MIC candidates were fielded in one parliamentary and three state seats.
