ALOR SETAR, April 19 – As of yesterday, a total of 355 sets of nomination forms for the 13th General Election (GE13) were sold by the Kedah Election Commission (EC). State General Election director Juhari Abd Rahman said today, the forms would continue to be sold as long as there was demand before nomination day tomorrow.
He said the Kedah EC was ready to face the GE13 on May 5. Kedah has 15 parliamentary seats and 36 state seats. For GE13, the EC has provided 633 voting centres involving 588 schools, 15 nurseries, nine halls and 21 buildings.
Based on the master electoral roll, Kedah has 1,041,068 voters comprising Malays (76.18 per cent), Chinese (15.52 per cent) and Indian (6.79 per cent).
