Najib Tun RazakPEKAN, April 25 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today urged the people to not dwell on minor issues but instead look at the bigger picture when deciding who should govern the country after the 13th General Election.

The Prime Minister said the good deeds of the Barisan Nasional (BN) government should not be ignored just because of minor issues.

“We must set our sights on bigger issues instead of focusing on small ones that may detract us.

“But it doesn’t mean that such issues are not important, just don’t let small problems such as the lack of a small path way in front of our house compel us to shift our support (to the opposition),” he said in his speech at the Serambit Polling District Centre (PDM), here, tonight.

Najib, who is the incumbent for the Pekan Parliamentary seat, said the people should judge the BN government who had been by their side through thick and thin all these years.

“We remain together in good and bad times, unlike the opposition. Please don’t forget the good deeds we have done so far,” he said.

He hoped voters in Pekan would continue to support the BN to win by a bigger majority in the May 5 polls. Najib said such a victory in Pekan would reflect the people’s support, not  only for the BN but also for him as the BN chairman, and head of government.

The Prime Minister promised that more development and transformation was in store for the people of Pekan should the BN remain in power. During his campaign rounds in Pekan, Najib was accompanied by the BN candidate for the Pulau Manis state seat, Khairuddin Mahmud, Pekan Umno division deputy chief Datuk Ishak Mohamad and BN candidate for Bebar, Mohamad Fakhruddin Mohd Arif.
