Putrajaya: Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo has announced that a solution to the issue concerning the Ladang Kathumba Tamil School in Kedah will be found soon.
Gobind stated that he is aware of the issue surrounding the Ladang Kathumba Tamil School in Kedah and is closely monitoring the situation. He emphasized that the student’s education and safety must be prioritised.
In 2023, the Ladang Kathumba Tamil School was relocated to the premises of Sekolah Kebangsaan Tawar. For the past year, the Tamil school has been operating within the national school’s compound.
However, as the national school is set to undergo restructuring soon, the Ladang Kathumba Tamil School now faces the need to vacate from the premises of the national school.
“This issue was brought to my attention. The educational needs of the affected students must be prioritised, and an appropriate solution must be found. The teaching and learning activities of the students should not be disrupted by this problem. At the same time, their safety must also be given importance. I have immediately contacted the Ministry of Education to discuss this matter. My goal is to ensure that a solution is found for this school as soon as possible,” the Minister added.
