168 complaints on election received by Pahang police

4KUANTAN, April 30 – A total of 168 complaints on election activities have been lodged with the Pahang police since April 4 until yesterday.

They included for alleged mischief like burning of party flags, posters, banners and operation posts, as well as fighting among rival party supporters, the state police management department head, ACP Anuar Osman said.

On the burning of party operations posts, he said, the cases were reported at Taman Sri Mahkota and in Kampung Padang, both in Kuantan, on April 19 and 27, respectively.

Police were investigating the cases, he added. He advised workers and supporters of political parties in the election campaign to abide by all regulations. He said police had also taken necessary measures to ensure safety of voters on polling day on May 5.
