BUKIT MERTAJAM: DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng has urged Penangites to supportDatuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to be the next Penang-born Prime Minister.
He said Penang stood to gain a many benefits if they voted in a Penangite as prime minister.
“If you support a Penangite to become the next prime minister, Penang will be more developed, right?
“So, can you all show your support for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim?” he told a political gathering in Highway Auto-city Juru on Friday.
Lim stressed that Anwar could only become prime minister if the people voted in candidates who stood under PAS, DAP and PKR tickets.
He also encouraged Penangites not to be afraid to come out and vote on May 5.
