PUTRAJAYA, May 18- Deputy Solicitor-General II Datuk Tun Abdul Majid Tun Hamzah (photo) said three men will charged in the magistrate’s courts for committing election related offences.
One would be charged in the magistrate’s court in Yan, Kedah on Sunday for intentionally causing hurt to the complainant armed with a knife, he told a press conference here today.
Two more men, one will be charged in the magistrate’s court in Klang and the magistrate’s court in Keningau, Sabah on Monday for intentionally causing hurt to the complainants.
Tun Abdul Majid said since 2pm Monday to 2 pm today, 25 cases were directed for further investigation while no further action was taken on 29 cases.
The number of reports on election related offences received by the Attorney General’s Chambers declined since the general election results were announced.
