KLANG, May 31- Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said he has written to newly-appointed Water, Energy and Green Technology Minister Datuk Seri Maximus Ongkili for talks on finalising the restructuring of the water industry in the state.
He said it was hoped the step could help improve delivery of water services for the people of Selangor and the Klang Valley in line with the Water Services Industry Act.
“I plan to meet Maximus Ongkili next week to discuss this,” he told reporters after attending the swearing-in ceremony for new Selangor state executive councillors at Istana Alam Shah here today.
Meanwhile, Abdul Khalid said he would be holding the Information and Selangor Malay Customs portfolio temporarily to provide clear explanation on the state government’s programmes for the people.
