lppknKUALA LUMPUR, May 31- The family planning module practised by the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) attracted the interest of several non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from abroad that visited the organisation’s exhibition booth at the ‘Women Deliver 2013’ Global Conference Exhibition.

LPPKN Nursing Supervisor, Zurina Mohd Isa said the NGOs from Autralia and Cambodia were keen to practise the LPPKN family planning module in their respective countries.

Zurina, who was assigned to give briefings on family planning at the exhibition, said both NGOs had stated that the family planning module drawn up by the LPPKN was the latest and suited current developments.

More than 200 exhibitors took part in the ‘Women Deliver 2013’ Third Global Conference at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) which focused on health and the wellbeing of girls and women.

The three-day event, which began on Tuesday, was described as the biggest global conference for the decade, and attended by more than 3,000 delegates, including policy makers, supporters and world leaders representing more than 150 countries.

It was organised by Women Deliver which has its headquarters in New York.
