JUNE 24- Rajamouli’s tour to the Shanghai Film Festival seems to have proved fruitful.
The celebrated director was thrilled at the reception that his film, Eega (Naan Ee in Tamil), enjoyed when it was screened there. The excited director took to his micro-blogging page to share his excitement.
He tweeted, “This trip to China reconfirmed my belief that people might be of different race, culture and language, but their emotions remain the same. It was a great feeling to see the theatre playing Eega 75% full and the reactions of the audience were exactly the same as they were at home.”
What’s interesting is that the director even talked about the possibility of releasing the film in China. “We might release the dubbed version in China by year end.
They temporarily named the film as ‘kungfu housefly’..” , he posted. Rajamouli added that he, along with producer Shobu Yarlagadda, were working on the possibilities of marketing Baahubali too at an international level after the insight he has got from the Naan Ee experience.
