PUTRAJAYA, June 25 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today chaired the 118th meeting of menteris besar and chief ministers at the Prime Minister’s Meeting Room at the Perdana Putra building here.
The meeting, which began at 3 pm, was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, several cabinet ministers and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa.
This is the second such meeting for this year, the first having been held in February. The meeting aims to coordinate the administration among the states, besides discussing matters arising.
This first meeting after the general election on May 5 also saw some new faces among the menteris besar and chief ministers, namely Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir, Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Perlis Menteri Besar Azlan Man and Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Idris Haron.
