KUALA LUMPUR, June 27- Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak yesterday expressed his condolences to family members of Kuala Besut assemblyman Dr A. Rahman Mokhtar who died lung cancer yesterday morning.
“May his soul placed among the faithful,” the prime minister said in his Tweeter post.
A. Rahman of the Barisan Nasional (BN) retained the Kuala Besut state seat in the 13th general election (GE13) when he beat Napisah Ismail of PAS with a 2,434-vote majority.
The BN returned to power in Terengganu by a simple majority in GE13 on May 5 when it garnered 17 of the 32 state seats.
