PAPAR, July 1- Women play an important role in producing a younger generation of excellent individuals, the inheritors of this land, in all aspects of life, says Deputy Works Minister Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin (photo).
“This is because children tend to listen to their parents whom they idolise.
“As can be seen from (press) interviews too, students acknowledge their parents’ role, guidance and love in contributing to their academic success,” she said when opening a programme on ‘Women as Catalysts for Malaysia’s Generations’, here, today.
Rosnah said besides their role as mothers in creating quality human capital, women were also the pillars and support for their husbands in generating quality work.
“And at the workplace, women themselves are not only fully committed to their work but are also able to compete successfully in all fields. Hence, they become good role models for the younger generation,” added Rosnah, who is also Puteri Umno chief.
