PITAS, July 22 – Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri has called on the people to give their strong support and complete trust to the government leadership led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to ensure that Malaysia achieves the developed nation status by the year 2020.
He said the seven-year period before the 2020 deadline was most critical for everyone to unite and ensure Malaysia was not derailed from the original objective.

Rahim, who is the Kudat Member of Parliament, said that in discharging the trust and responsibility to steer the nation, the government would be sincere and would certainly not sideline any group in carrying out its duty.
“We want to see the people cooperate in achieving the objective together without any doubt and prejudice,” he said at a function to give out various aid to 500 recipients in conjunction with the Ramadan fasting month at Kampung Rosob, near here Sunday night.
