KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 7- A moderate earthquake of 5.3 magnitude on the Richter scale hit northern Sumatera, Indonesia at 8.41am today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement here said the earthquake’s epicenter was 35km southeast of Sibolga and 330km southwest of Klang, Selangor. The department said it will issue additional information on its initial assessment of the quake.
