KUALA LUMPUR, July 27- Kuala Lumpur City Hall has postponed the total closure of Merdeka Square from this month to April next year for upgrading.
Its corporate planning manager, Dr Ismail Stapa, said today this was to facilitate the holding of events scheduled at the venue in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2014.
Bookings for use of the square up to Dec 31 next year had been reopened, he said in a statement.
