REMBAU, July 30 – The Umno Youth movement criticizes any act of extremism from any group that can lead to death in the conflict in Egypt.
Umno Youth head Khairy Jamaluddin said such extremism should not have occurred and hoped it could be avoided immediately.
“On behalf of Umno Youth Malaysia, I’m most concerned at the development taking place in Egypt. We feel it is unnecessary and we denounce any attack that involves any party to the extent that it leads to death.
“In this regard, we hope Egypt can find the best solution to pacify the situation and any extreme action by anyone that results in death is something that we denounce and we hope it can be avoided,” he told reporters here, last night.
He said this when approached after a breaking of the fast programme organised by the Negeri Sembilan Undergraduates Organisation (Manis) at the Kampung Sungai Serai surau, Semerbok, near here.
He said this when asked to comment on the political conflict in Egypt which was deteriorating when at least 120 supporters of ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi were killed in clashes with the police last Saturday.
