KUALA LUMPUR, AUG 13- MyWatch chief R Sri Sanjeevan’s father today lodged a police report to get his son’ case transferred from Negeri Sembilan to Bukit Aman.
His father, P Ramakrishnan (photo), 64, said that he believed that there could be a conflict of interest, as his son had lodged reports against several Negeri Sembilan police officers for abuse of power.
Sanjeevan was shot by two men in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan, on July 27. He is now awaiting surgery to remove a bullet lodged near his rib cage.
He was first admitted to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban before being transferred to the Serdang Hospital on July 31, at his parents’ request.
MyWatch advisor S Gobi Krishnan, who was present with Ramakrishnan said:
“Sanjeevan had lodged several police reports against a few police officers from the Negeri Sembilan police department.
“So we believe there could be a conflict of interest and we want the case should be transferred to Bukit Aman,” said Gobi Krishnan.
Still critical
Gobi Krishnan also said that the victim’s family was still in the dark on the status of the shooting case investigation.
“But the family is satisfied with the security given by the police to Sanjeevan in Serdang Hospital,” he added.
He added that the family is also seeking an appointment with the Bukit Aman CID chief Hadi Ho Abdullah to get an update on the probe.
On Sanjeevan’s health, Ramakrishnan said that his son condition is still critical.
“It will take some time for the doctors to remove the bullet from my son’s rib cage,” he said.
Gobi Krishnan said that the family will get a second opinion on Sanjeevan’s case.
“Maybe the surgery is risky to Sanjeevan’s condition. What is important is that he is able to breath on his own,” said Gobi Krishnan.
