AUG 24- After acting in a very successful Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru, Siddharth has signed himself up for Jigarthanda which is being directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
He is playing the lead in the movie opposite Lakshmi Menon.
Karthik Subbaraj , who had already served us with Pizza, is now preparing to cool us down with Jigarthanda.
Siddharth’s role in the film is apparently that of an aspiring movie director who goes to Madurai to film his first movie.
It may be noted that Siddharth had actually assisted director Mani Ratnam in the past.
He can hence be put in the aspiring movie director’s list in real life too.The entire film supposedly revolves around Siddharth and his encounter with a few rowdies in Madurai.
The film will also feature Simha, who is playing a very important character.
Simha’s performances in Soodhu Kavvum and Neram have already gained a lot of critical acclamation.
With the industry picking up a few promising young film makers, Karthik Subbaraj’s Jigarthanda appears to be a much awaited movie.
