AUG 27- John Abraham starrer Madras Cafe that started slow at the box office, has picked up well due to the positive word of mouth and critical acclaim.
The Shoojit Sircar directorial has collected approximately Rs.20.42 crore to 20.67 crore in its opening weekend.
The film that made Rs.5.17 crore on Friday, picked up on Saturday and Sunday with a business of Rs.7 crore and Rs.8.25 crore to 8.50 crore respectively.
Although targeted at multiplexes of urban centres, the upward trend in mass-dominated circuits sprung a pleasant surprise as well.
