KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 8 – Los Angeles based nutrition company, Herbalife, has launched its latest weight management product, TC Formula. Herbalife Malaysia Director/General Manager, Sridhar Rajgopalan said the TC Formula, a blend of dietary supplement made out of tea and ginger extract, has been designed to support users as part of their weight management programmes.
The main ingredients are rich in antioxidants that help fight against free radicals and provide digestive benefits which could improve the overall well-being of consumers, Sridhar told Bernama following the launch of the
product here last week. Herbalife Asia Pacific Senior Vive-President and Managing Director, Bill Rahn was at the launch.
Sridhar said the company in Malaysia had been growing steadily and experienced a net sales increase of 41.5 per cent in the third quarter of last year.
“To build on this momentum, not only we will be focused on broadening our footprint in Malaysia but we will also be providing our outstanding nutrition products to more communities in this country.”
He said the TC Formula has been registered with the Ministry of Health Malaysia and was available through Herbalife independent distributors. On whether there were plans for any new distribution centres, he said there
were no plans so far. Sridhar said the distribution centres in Penang and Johor Baharu which were opened last year will meet the growing demand from its independent distributors and customers, and to provide them with seamless Herbalife experience from products ordering to delivery.
“Malaysia’s strong business growth is primarily driven by the positive distributor momentum, increased recruitment and activities in its Nutrition Clubs,” he added.
Hebalife, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, recorded net sales of US$3.5 billion in 2011.
