NANNING (China), Sep 6- Malaysian products, including detergents, healthy food, drinks and beverages, were well received in China, said General Manager of Global Trade and Economic Network (G-Ten) Group, Tang Qing.
“China is a huge market which is interested in various imported products,” she told at a seminar themed “Sourcing Opportunity with Global Trade & Economic Network Group Sourcing Centre” here yesterday.
The seminar is held in conjunction with the 10th China-Asean Expo 2013, which is held from Sept 3-6.
Tang said it was reasonable for Chinese supermarkets and dealers to make a 40 per cent profit from overseas suppliers, as they had to bear some risks of selling the products.
“For instance, dealers and supermarkets could not return the imported products once they have purchased them and have to bear losses from food which had reach expiration date and delivery costs,” she said.
Earlier, Trade Commissioner of Malaysia External Trade Development Corp in Guangzho, China, Suresh Kumar, said food products from the Asean countries were favoured by Chinese.
