JAKARTA, Feb 8 – Indonesia will receive 12 Sukhoi Superjet 100s worth US$380 millin from Russia this year, Xinhua news agency quoted local media reports. Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Mikhail Galuzin told a press conference on Thursday that an agreement in this regard had been signed between Indonesia’s airliner Sky Aviation and Russia’s Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company.
The ambassador also spoke of the Sukhoi SJ-100 demonstration crash that killed 45 people on board in West Java last year.
“The crash brought our countries closer together,” he said. Trade volume between Indonesia and Russia climbed to US$2.54 billion last year, up from US$774.88 million in the previous year.
