MELAKA, Sept 12- Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (photo), bidding to become the Puteri Umno Chief will parade a slogan ‘Puteri Untuk Umno dan Puteri Harapan Umno’ (Puteri For Umno and Puteri The Hope Of Umno) during party elections this October.
The Melaka Puteri Umno Chief, who has offered to contest for the post, said she hoped the slogan would encourage Puteri members nationwide to fight for the party’s agenda for the people.
“The party election next month will be determined by 100,000 Puteri members in the country and I see that Puteri Umno needs to go back to basics about membership and the party’s spirit,” she told reporters after the screening of Tanda Putera, organised by the Melaka Puteri Umno, here on Wednesday.
She said the movement also need to give special attention to youths so that they will join Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) in the future.
She also hoped that all quarters would put up a healthy fight without raising any issues that could affect the party.
