GUA MUSANG, Sept 30- Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah said he will not be campaigning to defend his post as Gua Musang Umno head in Umno’s elections next month.
Instead, he said, he would be leaving his fate to the division’s members.
He said he would make a decision to retire from politics when there was a successor who was better than him.
“I have no intention of quitting my (division head) post. The delegates will decide, I don’t need to blow my trumpet becuase I am just an ordinary person,” he said after attending a function in Dataran Kesedar Paloh 1 here today.
Tengku Razaleigh, who has helmed the division for 41 years since 1962, is being challenged for the first time this time around.
His challenger is the division’s Youth chief, Datuk Bazlan Baharuddin.
