Sepang, Nov 14 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak left for Sri Lanka at 2pm today from Kompleks Bunga Raya, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, here.
Najib is leading a Malaysian delegation to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2013 which will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from Nov 15 to 17.
A Wisma Putra statement said the meeting was expected to discuss measures to overcome current and future challenges in order to achieve development that is inclusive, equitable and sustainable.
CHOGM is held every two years to discuss global issues and those related to the Commonmwealth, and to make joint decisions on policies and initiatives.
Najib is scheduled to leave for Bangladesh after CHOGM for an official visit to that country from Nov 17 to 19.
