Hangzhou, Nov 28 – A new human H7N9 bird flu case has been reported in east China’s Zhejiang province, Xinhua news agency reported.
The Zhejiang Provincial Health Department said Thursday a 57-year-old man from Anji County tested positive for the virus on Wednesday.
The man had sought treatment at the First Affiliated Hospital of College of Medicine, Zhejiang University and remains in critical condition.
Two H7N9 cases were reported earlier this month and another in October.
The National Health and Family Planning Commission said a total of 134 H7N9 bird flu cases and 45 deaths in the country were reported as of the end of August.
