ALOR SETAR, June 4 — The Kedah government is prepared to help the New Affirmative Action Movement (Naam) Foundation in implementing its programmes to improve the economy of Indian youths in the state.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir noted that the programmes drawn up by Naam were very appealing and should attract the target group.
“The foundation’s emphasis on skills and agricultural venture would enable Indian youths to generate earnings for themselves and boost their livelihood, which in turn translates into development for the state,” he told reporters after a courtesy call from Youth and Sports deputy minister Datuk M.Saravanan here today.
NAAM was launched in November last year to empower the economy of about 100,000 Indian youths throughout the country by 2017.
