London, June 13 – A man from County Roscommon, Ireland has been constantly hiccuping for two years after a boozy night out and has discovered that there is probably no cure to his problem.
Daniel Clavin said that the hiccups had taken over his life and he did not know if he will ever get rid of them, the Daily Star reported.
(Daniel Clavin, 37, woke up with hiccups and a hangover in July 2012)
The 38-year-old said that he had tried just about everything i.e. all the old wives cures but he could not stop and he spent most nights in a different room from his wife so that she was not disturbed.
Clavin was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) and believes that the hiccups could be a symptom of the disease.
Clavin said that he was told that he has got a high burden of the disease and this was the only symptom so far, therefore, he could not complain.
Daniel hiccups every seven seconds meaning that he has hiccuped an estimated 5.25 million times
