KUCHING, Feb 20 – More than 60 media representatives from 19 agencies here participated in the briefing session on postal voting facilitie for media personnel for the 13th general election. The briefing was given by the Principal Assistant Secretary of the Election Commission, Mohamad Ghani to media representatives of agencies registered in the Public Media Directory 2012 issued by the Malaysian Information Department.

The briefing session, lasting about an hour, gave detailed information on the eligibility for postal voting, the method or application process and the subsequent process after the application had been approved.
Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) Kuching staff, Jamalia Tay, 31, said she had already registered as a voter but never had the opportunity to vote previously because she had to work on polling day.
