KOTA KINABALU, Aug 15 – More than 75 per cent of the 560 Petron petrol stations nationwide have been rebranded including 28 petrol stations in Sabah.
Petron Malaysia Head of Retail Business Faridah Ali said through the rebranding to Petron, the company would continue to offer the best fuel products and services to its customers.”In conjunction with the rebranding and upgrading of Petron stations, our stations are organising a carnival in appreciation of the support from customers.
“The celebration is held in conjunction with the introduction of Petron in Sabah, while at the same time, offers the opportunity for station owners to forge stronger ties with their customers,” she said when launching ‘Customer Appreciation Day’ at Petron Ulam North petrol station here Friday.
Faridah said the Petron carnival, held for the first time in Sabah, offers various activities besides promoting Petron products such as Blaze 97, Blaze 95, Diesel Max and lubricant.
The two-day carnival will end tomorrow.Speaking to reporters later, Faridah said the company would organise such programmes in stages in line with the rebranding of its petrol stations in other states.
“We’ll also open two or three Petron stations this year. In Sabah, we have 50 petrol stations including the 28 that have been rebranded. We are in the midst of rebranding the stations around Sandakan.
“We have received quite good repsonse from the rebranding,” she added.In conjunction with the celebration, Faridah also presented a contribution in cash and kind to five charity homes around Kota Kinabalu and a health organisation as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
