New Delhi, September 3 – Guess who was behind Aishwarya Rai’s decision to sign an action-thriller as her comeback vehicle? Yes, it was none other than her hubby, Abhishek Bachchan.
Story goes that, close friend and director Sanjay Gupta shared a story he was planning to make with Abhishek Bachchan. Abhishek loved the script and asked Sanjay who did he have in mind for the lead.
Sanjay expressed his desire to cast Aishwarya. It was apparently then Abhishek convinced Aishwarya to take up the project. Subsequently they met and the deal was struck.
Next, Aishwarya announced the film at Cannes International Film Festival. The edge-of-the-seat thriller also stars Irrfan and John Abraham. Lookout for senior actress to play the fourth lead is still on. Jazba goes on floor in January 2015.
