KUALA LUMPUR, March 5 – Accusing the government of orchestrating the intrusion in Lahad Datu, Sabah is a despicable act, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. Saddened by such remark, Najib said it could have only been made by people without feelings and that they should be rejected by the people.
“The intrusion of Malaysia by foreign groups has led to the loss of soldiers. It is heartbreaking to go to the airport to receive the bodies of national heroes.
“When I faced the widows and their children, I was very sad. One of them was one month pregnant. The son aged 5 to 6 years old told me his father was bombed as if he will return. These are sad tales.
“But there are people who dared to accuse the government of orchestrating it. I don’t know what to say to people like this. Human beings don’t talk like that, so heartless and despicable.
“That is why, we must reject people like this,” he said in his address at the assembly of ‘Ulama-Umara dan Asnaf’ at Stadium Putra in Bukit Jalil here today.
Umno has initiated legal action against PKR vice-president Tian Chua over his statement linking Umno to the intrusion in Lahad Datu, Sabah. Secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said in a statement yesterday said the action was taken by Umno legal adviser, Messrs Hafarizam Wan and Aisha Mubarak. He said the notice was sent to MP for Batu, Tian Chua, giving him seven days to stop making defamatory statements on the issue or similar statements against
Umno.
