KUALA LUMPUR, March 16- The MIC Youth Higher Education Bureau will set up a hotline and counseling service to assist Indian students who sat for the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) 2012 examination. Its chairman D. Mahaganapathy said the service would assist Indian students in obtaining technical advise on the selection of courses that they are eligible, according to their qualification.
“We will provide guidance to ensure students do not make the wrong choice in the selecting their courses. We also want to make sure as many students are offered places at IPTA,” he told reporters at the MIC headquarters, here, today.
He said a seminar would also be held on March 23, to direct Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and STPM students on the right path to success while 7,000 booklets titled ‘High Education Pathways’ comprising information like procedures to apply for scholarship, matriculation and other courses, would be distributed.
