KUALA LUMPUR, July 30- Hybrid airline, Malindo Air, is set to launch daily flights on the Kuala Lumpur-Dhaka route as part of its international expansion plans.
In a statementMonday, Chief Executive Officer Chandran Rama Muthy, said the first international routes will start on Aug 28.
“As one of the few airlines that provide connectivity between KL and Dhaka, we are honoured to have the privilege to further develop the cultural, social and economic ties,” he said.
He said the airline, which will use the Boeing 737-900ER (extended range) aircraft, will offer business and economy classes.
Malindo Air, he said, planned to enhance Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s footprint as a key regional gateway to the Asean region.
“We will also be encouraging Bangladesh business and leisure travellers to connect to our other international flights,” he said.
Chandran said Malindo Air’s immediate expansion plan included flights from KL to Bali, Jakarta, Medan and the island of Batam in Indonesia.
