SEPT 2- The timing of the likely announcement of Narendra Modi as the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate might be decided during an important coordination committee meeting between the top functionaries of the party and its parent organisation — Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) — on September 9, sources said on Monday.
While senior RSS officials Bhaiyyaji Joshi and Suresh Soni are likely to attend the crucial meeting, the presence of Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat was not yet confirmed.
In the last meeting of BJP and RSS top brass it was made clear by the latter that the political outfit needed to bridge the gaps before the much-awaited announcement on Modi.
Sources said that the September 9 meeting would give final touches to the possible announcement on BJP’s prime ministerial candidate and try to cease any differences which still exist.
