Hyderabad, Nov 22 – The Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI) is considering to introduce programmes to encourage the budding talents of young filmmakers, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.

CFSI chief executive officer Shravan Kumar said the films directed by children filmmakers will be exhibited across the country and screened at subsidised rates in theatres.

“The medium is available to the children now. They can shoot films on mobile phones, all of them have mobile cameras. We at CFSI are very much responsive to such kind of responses from little directors,” he said.

“We have made available the production guidelines on our website. The little directors don’t need to come to Delhi. They can send a request online. We will respond to their request,” he said.

Shravan said films made by children had received very good response at the 18th International Children’s Film Festival India (ICFFI) held from Nov 14 to 20 in Andhra Pradesh’s capital city.

“After getting the consent of these little directors, I am going to take their films across the country through our film exhibitions. We will have an annual programme where we go to municipal and rural schools and screen the films at subsidised rate in theatres,” he said.
