KUALA LANGAT, June 18 – Thirty-eight immigrants were feared to have drowned while 59 others were rescued after their boat sunk about two nautical miles from Sungai Air Hitam, here , Tuesday mid-night.
According to a Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) spokesman, they received initial information on the incident at 12.24am and assistance arrived from Banting at 12.55am.
Rescue operations are still ongoing with help from the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.
