Her photograph was taken last year at a refugee camp near the Turkish border. After her father was killed in a massacre in 2012, Hudea and her family had moved to that camp.

It seems now, the troubles for the four-year-old and her family are far from over as the “safe place” where they had shifted two weeks ago unfortunately fell into the hands of Al Qaeda. According to dailymail.co.uk, the city of Idlib where they had shifted has fallen into the hands of Al Qaeda over the weekend, which means the family is still in danger of getting killed.

article-2587547-1C830FAD00000578-385_634x500The city is now ruled by the dreaded Nusra Front-led rebels, who are affiliated to Al Qaeda. The methods of this group is as deadly as the ISIS, which has unleashed brutal attacks, including throwing people from rooftops, against those who don’t subscribe to their ideology.

The people of Idlib are reportedly in constant fear of reprisals by Islamic militants who are determined to establish a Sharia law in the region. This is a horrifying development for the poor and traumatised family of Hudea.  No wonder why Hudea, caught in the crossfire, surrenders to a camera.
