KUALA LUMPUR, March 6- Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has called on Malaysians to continue to pray for the wellbeing of members of the country’s security forces who are battling to crush the group of armed intruders in Sabah.
“As I speak now, the country’s heroes are staking their lives in an operation that is going on at the moment.
“Let us pray for their safety and that we can defeat the country’s enemies and wipe them out completely,” he said when addressing more than 3,000 employees of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) during his working visit to the utility company,
here today.
The Prime Minister’s speech was also followed by more than 20,000 TNB employees nationwide through video conferencing. Yesterday, the security forces launched an air strike using F-18 and Hawk fighter jets in the first operation to end the incursion by foreign terrorists since Feb 12.
During the visit today, Najib also witnessed the exchange of the agreement of understanding between TNB and Perumahan Rakyat 1Malaysia Berhad for the construction of affordable homes for TNB staff on an area measuring 3.2 hectares in Kajang.
