KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 – Naza Kia Malaysia Sdn Bhd is aiming to sell 100 units monthly of the next generation Sorento, a move that will help the official distributor of Kia Motors vehicles in Malaysia to achieve its sales target of 15,000 units this year.
The car, to be launched on March 16 and 17, is available in snow pearl white, bright silver, glittering metal and mahogany brown with its on-the-road price remaining unchanged from the previous Sorento model at RM158,888.
The new Sorento is the second model to be introduced following the launch of the all new Rio in January, Naza Kia Malaysia Chief Operating Officer, Datuk Hafiz Syed Abu Bakar, said in a statement today. The new Sorento is much more than a facelift, as the popular sports utility vehicle now comes with aesthetical enhancements in the exterior and interior, a revised suspension for a smoother ride, sharper handling and a stronger body-shell.
He said the year started on a positive note for Naza Kia with 1,854 units sold in the first two months, which is 12 per cent higher than the same period of 2012. With over 33 enhancements, the next generation Sorento will be positioned as a premium SUV targeted at affluent customers between the ages of 35 to 50.
