Kuala Lumpur – MIC Deputy President Datuk Seri S.K.Devamany (pic) has slammed former MIC President Palanivel’s faction alleging they are covertly courting opposition groups to topple Najib.
Responding to Datuk S.Murugesan’s presence and speech yesterday at the Congress Rakyat organised by Zaid Ibrahim, Devamany said: “Presence of Datuk Murugesan Sinnandavar, the former Secretary General of MIC and a key ally of Datuk Seri G.Palanivel, at the gathering of the opposition coordinated Kongress Rakyat 2016 reconfirms the fact that Palanivel and group are courting the opposition covertly”.
“Datuk Murugesan is one of the key members of Palanivel’s team conspiring in recent times to de-stabilise MIC. It is not a secret that Datuk Seri G.Palanivel has been engaging with the top leadership of DAP in recent years.His political affiliation with them is obvious.He is currently in the mode of soliciting the support of MyPPP and other Indian friends of BN to support his covert political agenda.Its time they disassociate themselves from Datuk Seri G.Palanivel if their commitment and support to the leadership of our Prime Minister is real” – Devamany further said in a press statement issued immediately after news hit the social media that Murugesan attended the Kongress Rakyat.

“MIC with its unflinching support of the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib has been consolidating Indian support. The ‘on the ground’ outreach programs by the party is receiving positive response from the community.The party under the new leadership is appealing the community support for the Prime Minister’s continued leadership. The community response has been very reassuring” Devamany pointed out in his statement.
“MIC as a key partner of BN would ensure that Datuk Seri G.Palanivel’s conspiratory politics of deception does not derail our role to lead the Indian community towards a brighter future under the caring leadership of Prime Minister Najib” Devamany further noted.
