KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today said that he was touched by the sacrifice of Corporal Mohd Azrul Tukiran in defending the country till the last drop of his blood.
“May Allah place his soul among the syuhada (martyrs),” he said in his Facebook page today. Yesterday, Najib, accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, visited Mohd Azrul’s family in Kampung Rantau Panjang, Klang, and presented aid of RM20,000 contributed by Yayasan Kelana Ehsan to the family.
Mohd Azrul, from the General Operations Force in Tawau, was among the six policemen killed in the ambush by the Sulu terrorists in Kampung Seri Jaya, Simunul, Semporna, Sabah last March 2.
