BACHOK, March 25 – The Kelantan Umno Veterans Council will mobilise its machinery in 30 of the 45 state constituencies which the Barisan Nasional (BN) has winning potential in the 13th general election, said its chairman, Datuk Rozali Isohak.
He said the state seats were located mainly in Gua Musang, Jeli, Machang, Pasir Puteh, Tanah Merah and Bachok.
“If there is no sabotage among each other in the constituencies, BN can wrest the seats,” he said at the launch of 100,000 posters denoting family support to the BN by Kelantan Umno liaison committee deputy chairman Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin in Pangkalan Petah here, today.
Rozali, who was also former Kelantan deputy menteri besar, said the confidence was based on the positive response from the people in the constituencies to the BN and the state BN leadership.
“The state BN has stronger and more credible leaders in Kelantan Umno liaison committee chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Awang Adek while PAS depends solely on Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat,” he added.
Rozali said the council has 3,000 members in each constituency which made up one-third of 800,000 Umno members in Kelantan.
