Kuala Lumpur – As widely expected, MIC Vice President Datuk T.Mohan has confirmed having received the appointment letter as a Senator of Dewan Negara. The Tamil daily ‘Makkal Osai’ in a front-page article said T.Mohan has confirmed receiving the letter from Prime Minister’s office.
T.Mohan also thanked MIC President Datuk Dr S.Subramaniam and the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for having confidence in him to serve as a member of Dewan Negara.
In an article yesterday, ‘selliyal.com’ quoting MIC sources said there were 4 Senate positions representing MIC that are yet to be filled and among the several names speculated, T.Mohan was one of them.
There have been no announcements yet on the other 3 Senate positions allocated for MIC.
