Putra Jaya – The Federal Court today allowed the appeal by RoS-MIC thereby reversing the earlier decision of Court of Appeal. The Federal Court also upheld the Kuala Lumpur High Court’s decision to strike out the case based on preliminary objections raised by RoS-MIC.
This case was brought by former MIC Batu Chairman A.K.Ramalingam, former MIC Bagan Division Datuk Henry Benedict Asirvatham and former MIC Segambut division chairman Datuk Rajoo, alleging fraud and corruption in the decision making process of Registrar of Societies in respect of MIC elections held in 2013.
