BANGKOK, April 3- Thailand’s main Suvarnabhumi International Airport was ranked the world’s 6th best large airport in 2012 among 17 airports serving over 40 million global passengers yearly, moving up from its 7th position in the 2011 survey, Thai News Agency (TNA) reported.
Wilaiwan Natwilai, Director of the Suvarnabhumi Interntional Airport, told journalists on Wednesday of the Airports Council International (ACI)’s announcement last month of its 2012 ranking in the category of large airports. Wilaiwan acknowledged that the ACI’s survey covered 199 global airports in 2012, when it sought opinions from over 400,000 air passengers on eight topics, including airport access and exit, luggage searches, passport checks, direction signs, services of staffs, atmosphere and cleanness.
