KUANTAN, April 9 – The Pahang Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) here, which aimed at providing various services under one roof for the convenience of the people in the state, will be officially opened on Thursday. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is scheduled to launch the Pahang UTC at the UTC Square here at 9am on Thursday and the ceremony is expected to be attended by over 30,000 visitors.
Kuantan Municipal Council chief public relations officer Haslinda Hassan said various programmes, including cultural and musical performances, and fireworks display would be arrayed from 9 pm tomorrow to mark the launch of the UTC. Other events lined-up include futsal, basketball and netball competitions. RapidKuantan will provide a free shuttle service to ferry visitors to the UTC to avoid traffic congestion at the venue, said Haslinda.
The Pahang UTC, which houses various 60 federal and state government department and agencies, banks, and businesses, is open daily from 8.30 am to 10 pm except on public holidays.
