KUALA TERENGGANU, April 11 – Terengganu PAS has postponed the date for announcing all its candidates contesting in the 13th general election (GE13) in Rusila, Marang from tonight to April 18, according to State PAS Commissioner, Abdul Wahid Endut.
He said the postponement was due to the announcement by the Election Commission yesterday (Wednesday) that the nomination day would be April 20 while polling day would be May 5.
“Insyaallah, we can announce officially the names of the candidates after the Isyak prayer in Rusila next Thursday. Subsequently, we will have the ‘Baiah’ or oath of allegiance by all the candidates on stage in front of the people,” he said at a press conference at the state PAS Liaison headquarters, here today. He said PAS and the PKR would announce all their candidates contesting in the state simultaneously at the joint Opposition Pact programme.
